FAQ about Emsisoft Internet Security

As you may already know, Emsisoft Internet Security is merging with Emsisoft Anti-Malware. More may be read on our blog post, here: Merging Emsisoft Internet Security with Emsisoft Anti-Malware.

However, there have been a few questions that needed a bit of clarification. If your question is not answered here, please feel free to contact us at support@emsisoft.com.

Please note that this information may change slightly as we move forward, so please refer back or contact us to stay current.

  • What if I have Emsisoft Internet Security now, or just bought it?

    You may just wait for the conversion to happen on its own. If you would rather do it manually though, contact us at support@emsisoft.com, and let us know your Emsisoft Internet Security key. We will convert it and give you a new key.

  • What if I want to keep Emsisoft Internet Security?

    The product is being merged with Emsisoft Anti-Malware, so in essence you are keeping it, just without the firewall. Please see our blog post for details.

  • What if I need to reinstall Emsisoft Internet Security for some problem?

    Please contact us at support@emsisoft.com and we can provide the Emsisoft Internet Security installer.

  • Do I have to do anything?

    No. If things are running normally, just wait. The product will convert on its own after the 1st of October, 2017.

  • I block applications from reaching the Internet using Emsisoft Internet Security. What can I use now?

    For this, you may utilize inbound/outbound connections in the Windows firewall. Just select the program from the list, right-click, choose properties, and change the action to 'block the connection'.
